Untreated Brown-Séquard syndrome may result in the following complications:
- Abdominal distension.
- Depression.
- Low blood pressure (hypotension).
- Pulmonary embolism (blood clot in your lung).
- Infections — most commonly in your lungs and urinary tract.
- Permanent paralysis.
