“Urine temperature is the same as body temperature. That is, by itself, under such conditions, it cannot damage the urinary tract, says Artem Loktev, urologist at the Rassvet clinic. “But still, it is advisable not to delay this process and get dressed as soon as possible.” According to Dr. Loktev, there is no evidence that the cold has anything to do with cystitis. This risk factor is not mentioned in either the UK or European guidelines. “For example, the use of spermicides or unprotected anal sex are provoking factors, this has been proven,” says Loktev. “But logically, frost can also lead to a weakening of the body’s defenses and the multiplication of pathogenic bacteria.”
